Fantastic. If only people would realize how small and unimportant humanity is to the rest of the universe, then maybe we would try to just be happy with what we have, and treat each other with dignity, but the people at fox news can't see outside of their heads, let alone outside the earth.

I couldn't agree with you more, not that we have to be a bunch of monks and live a life of poverty, or in a Communist society and have the state take care of everything, but what the hell, most of what the average person buys(and I have been guilty of this as well) is to impress others... "look at my new wood flooring ", "not EVERYONE can own a Porche", " Ta ta, we're off to sail our thousand footer to the Florida Keys"... When you see these people showing off their mansions on television... it's all about impressing someone.... instead of finding real joy in what they own, That is the big problem.... I have nothing against ppl having a Porche, or a Mansion, or wood flooring... but what was the price they paid for it, how many hours did they have taken away from seeing the beauty of life in order to achieve their wealth.... or worse, how many people did they trample on and force to do with out so they could glory in their wealth... I'm a Christian(maybe not a very good one.) But I doubt Christ is looking too kindly on Fox News and the Christian Right. And if Right Wing Christians wonder why they are being persecuted , well, much of it is because they have acted like such political assholes to everyone around them... Jesus would never have acted like Jerry Falwell, Pat Robertson or the like.

Well, people are really good at twisting the bible to use the way they want. I am not a christian, although I am not a complete atheist either... some atheists are just as bad as the psycho christians... but I have nothing against religion. My father in law is a minister, and a very good one. Some people just take it too far. A christian believes that Jesus died for all people's sins, so matter what you have done, who you have been, you can be forgiven. But, a lot of christians go old testament for their beliefs, which never made any sense to me. Anyways... enough of me spewing as well!
